England was the birthplace of the FMDM Congregation in the 18th Century, initially working in the parish of Hampstead and later caring for orphans in Aldershot Hampshire. From these simple beginnings the congregation has become world-wide but still maintains its motherhouse in England. Currently along with Ladywell, our motherhouse, we have 15 communities across England and Scotland.
