Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood Ladywell Convent, --------------------------------- Having already assisted two people on the road to a successful career in catering with our apprenticeship scheme we are now actively looking for an Apprentice Chef to help with the smooth running of our catering operations. Ladywell Convent encompasses two kitchens catering for a diversity of needs. Ladywell is a lovely atmosphere in which to work and the catering operation is generally a day time function with little evening work. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful person to gain a variety of experience in a caring organisation. Job Title: APPRENTICE CHEF Average Weekly hours: 37.5 HOURS – some weekend working will be required. Shifts will on a 5 days over 7 basis. Work time ranges between 8.00 a.m. and 7.30 p.m. on 7.5 hours per shift. Wages: starting from - £3.53 - £5.73 per hour Duration: PERMANENT Start Date: As soon as possible Description: We are looking for someone who would like to receive training as a chef, no experience is necessary. Duties: under the supervision of the Chef in Charge you would be responsible for all aspects of catering, such as preparing meals, ordering, cleaning. Training will be given in the use of any kitchen machinery. We would expect NVQ training to be undertaken to level NVQ3.
